PRESENTMENTS OF THE GRAND JURY APRIL 2016 TERM - APRIL 2016 SESSION TURNER COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT |
We, the Grand Jury, serving at
the April Session of the April 2016 Term make the
following presentations: 1. We wish to thank the Honorable Melanie Cross, Judge, for her able instructions to this body, District Attorney Paul Bowden, Chief Assistant District Attorney J.D. Hart and the rest of the District Attorney's staff, Sheriff Andy Hester and his department, Police Chief Clifford Jordan and his department, Commander Jeff Youngblood and the Mid South Narcotics Task Force, Clerk of Court Mary Lee Green, and our Bailiff, Wayne Hobby. 2. The Grand Jury considered evidence presented concerning 41 offenses, contained in 12 indictments and returned 41 True Bills, 0 No Bills, and 0 Tabled. 3. The Grand Jury reappoints Wayne Hobby as a regular member of the Board of Tax Equalization for a 3 year term beginning January 1, 2017. 4. The Grand Jury reappoints Lester Green as an alternate member of the Board of Tax Equalization for a 3 year term beginning January 1, 2017. 5. We respectfully request that the Court order the within recommendations and presentments of the Grand Jury to be spread upon the minutes of the Turner Superior Court and be published in The Wiregrass Farmer and that the Clerk of Court send a copy of these presentments to the Turner County Commission.
