PRESENTMENTS OF THE GRAND JURY
OCTOBER 2014 TERM OF TURNER COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT

We, the Grand Jury, chosen and sworn to serve at the October 2014 Term of the Turner County Superior Court, make the following presentations: 

1.   We wish to thank the Honorable Bill Reinhardt and the Honorable Melanie Cross, Judges, for their able instructions to this body, and District Attorney Paul Bowden and the rest of the District Attorney's staff, Sheriff Andy Hester and his department, Interim Police Chief James Davis and his department, and the Mid South Narcotics Task Force and our Bailiff, Wayne Hobby for their service to this body during the present term.

2.  The Grand Jury, during the February 2015 session, considered evidence presented concerning 24 offenses contained in 10 indictments and Special Presentments and returned 24 True Bills, 0 No Bills, and 0 Tabled. 

3.  The Grand Jury received and considered cash receipt and disbursement reports from the Clerk of Court and the Probate Court and make no recommendations regarding said reports. 

4.  The Grand Jury appoints Melanie W. Raines, Lester Green and Judy M. Whitehead as Alternate Members of the Board of Equalization to fill the unexpired terms of Patricia McKinnon, Ruby Nell West, and Lynn Youngblood Davis. 

5.   We respectfully request that the Court order the presentments of the Grand Jury to be spread upon the minutes of the Turner Superior Court and be published in the Wiregrass Farmer and that the Clerk of Court send a copy of these presentments to the Turner County Commission.
